We do not want to become carbon neutral, we already reached that objective!
On a yearly basis, we measure our direct carbon emissions – and make sure these are neutralized. Look at our recent carbon balance sheet and the measures to neutralize these.
Many companies talk a lot about CR – and then spend minor amounts on 1-2 single projects that do not have a major impact, but “nicely” fill websites and news. We genuinely believe in our responsibility to protect our world – and the weakest in this world.
That is why we commit ourselves to spending 0.5% of our fee revenue on CR activities that are not related to our business. Once a year, we calculate how much is left if we implement these carbon-neutralizing measures. We then ask our staff to prioritize potential projects and activities in this respect – and we spend the above amount on the respective top-priority projects. In doing this, we do not ask for any benefit – we do this because we believe in it.
